In a lively celebration of cultural exchange and friendship, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), organized a vibrant Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala at the Liaquat Gymnasium, Sports Complex in Islamabad.
The event drew thousands, with enthusiastic young attendees from various universities and families captivated by the diverse artistic performances. Pakistani and Korean artists presented a series of mesmerizing acts, featuring music, dance, and impressive long-jump kick techniques that highlighted the rich cultural traditions of both nations.
Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, Attaullah Tarar, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Badr Shehbaz, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Park Ki Jun, graced the occasion with their presence, underscoring the event’s significance in fostering cultural appreciation and mutual respect.
During the event, the head of the Korean Martial Arts Team, along with Ambassador Park Kijun, presented a commemorative shield to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar.
While talking to our correspondent, attendee Ali Jalbani shared his excitement: “It was my first experience seeing a Korean cultural performance, and I’ll never forget it. My kids were thrilled to see the Korean martial arts demonstration, and I’ll encourage them to explore these techniques.”
The event concluded on a high note with a stunning performance by Korean artist Heemin Kim, who received thunderous applause. Chief Guest Attaullah Tarar, Chairman of the PM Youth Program Rana Mashhood, and Ambassador Park Ki Jun joined the audience, waving the flags of Korea and Pakistan in a spirited display of camaraderie.
The Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala exemplified the shared values and strong diplomatic ties between the two countries and reinforced the commitment to fostering youth empowerment through cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
