Islamabad, October 11, 2025 — The Embassy of the Republic of Korea successfully hosted K-Wave Festa: Beauty, Beats & Beyond at the Shamadan Hall, Serena Hotel, showcasing the vibrant essence of Korean culture and its growing connection with Pakistan.
The evening began with an opening ceremony, where Mr. Park Jaelark, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Korea, delivered welcome remarks. In his address, Mr. Park underscored the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to deepening cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Korea and Pakistan. He highlighted several initiatives organized by the Embassy to promote mutual understanding, including the recently inaugurated Immersive Gallery at the Islamabad Museum, which serves as a new platform for cultural cooperation and artistic collaboration.
Mr. Sabino Sikandar Jalal attended the event as Chief Guest and shared inspiring remarks, commending the Embassy’s dedication to bringing Korea’s rich and diverse culture to Pakistan. He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in strengthening friendship, artistic collaboration, and cross-cultural appreciation between the two nations.
A highlight of the event was the K-Beauty Masterclass led by renowned Korean makeup artist Hoskeok Jung, who captivated the audience with a live makeup demonstration featuring popular Pakistani influencer Areeka Haq. The session offered valuable insights into Korean skincare routines, professional beauty techniques, and the innovation behind K-beauty’s global success.
Adding rhythm and excitement to the evening, Mr. Jay Kim from Korea conducted a K-Dance Workshop, engaging participants in popular K-pop choreography and giving them an authentic experience of Korea’s energetic performing arts.
Throughout the venue, guests explored interactive booths featuring traditional Korean food tasting, Hanbok dress-up experiences, and free skincare and makeup giveaways, alongside cultural souvenir stalls. Visitors delighted in tasting authentic Korean dishes and capturing memorable moments dressed in traditional Hanbok attire.
The event drew an overwhelming turnout, filling the hall with enthusiastic guests, influencers, and K-culture fans. The evening resonated with music, laughter, and shared cultural appreciation — making it a truly unforgettable celebration of Korea-Pakistan friendship.
