On the occasion of International Museum Day, Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, joins the global community in celebrating the invaluable role of museums in preserving and showcasing our shared cultural heritage.

International Museum Day, observed annually on May 18th, serves as a reminder of the importance of museums as institutions that inspire and educate people about the diverse cultures and histories of humanity. Museums play a crucial role in promoting understanding, tolerance, and appreciation for our common heritage.

His Excellency Reza Amiri Moghadam highlights this as another aspect of genocide, cultural genocide, and general degeneration perpetuated by certain forces.

However, amidst the celebration, it is essential to acknowledge the unfortunate reality that cultural sites and historical symbols in Gaza have been subject to destruction. Through awareness, advocacy, and concerted action, we can work towards safeguarding these invaluable treasures of humanity.
