Hundreds of North Korean Troops Involved in Russian War, Satellite Images Reveal

According to a new study by an American think tank, satellite images have revealed that hundreds of North Korean troops were transported to Russia via sea to take part in the war against Ukraine.

Researchers state that at least two Russian naval ships transported North Korean soldiers to Russia’s eastern military port, Dunai, in October and November. Earlier, South Korea’s intelligence agency had identified troop movements from North Korean regions, but the satellite images have now provided further confirmation.

According to CNN. Experts suggest that North Korean soldiers were boarded onto the ships at night to keep their transfer secret. However, satellite images have captured activities at Dunai port, where Russia has been less cautious.

According to the report, approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers have reached Russia, with more than 4,000 either killed or injured. Ukraine claims to have captured at least two North Korean soldiers, but neither Russia nor North Korea have confirmed these reports.

Analysts believe that North Korean troops are gaining real combat experience, which could benefit them in the future. Additionally, indications suggest that ties between Russia and North Korea are strengthening further.
