The Department of Pakistan Studies at Hazara University Mansehra proudly announces the establishment of the Pak-China Friendship Corner within the university’s Central Library, made possible by a grant from the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
In a formal inauguration ceremony, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, former Vice Chancellor and Member IT Higher Education Commission Islamabad, highlighted the Pak-China Friendship Corner as a tangible representation of the robust relations, linkages, and close cooperation in the realm of education between Pakistan and China. Dr. Ahmad commended the efforts of Ms. Ayesha Alam, Head of the Department of Pakistan Studies, for securing the grant and recognized her as a role model.
The Pak-China Friendship Corner is equipped with state-of-the-art laptops, scientific books, and research journals, poised to significantly benefit students across various academic departments at the university. Ms. Ayesha Alam successfully secured a grant of Rs. 3.98 million from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, earmarked for joint cultural and social activities. These activities include organizing exhibitions showcasing Pakistani and Chinese traditions, hosting training workshops, and promoting diverse research activities within the realm of education.
This collaboration stands as a testament to the enduring friendship and collaboration between Hazara University Mansehra and the People’s Republic of China, fostering a dynamic environment for academic and cultural exchange.
