Pakistan’s 19-members Federal Cabinet Officially Sworn In, Marking End of Government Formation

The government formation process concluded after the 19-mmeber federal cabinet took the oath on Monday.

 

President Asif Zardari administered the oath to the 18 federal ministers and a state minister. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was also present.

 

Those who took the oath as Federal Minister include Ishaq Dar- Minister Finance, Khawaja Asif- Minister Defence, Ahsan Iqbal- Minister Planning, Developments & Special Initiative, Rana Tanvir- Minister Industries and Production, Azam Nazir Tarar – Minister Law and Justice with Additional portfolio of “Human Rights” , Attaullah Tarar – Minister Information and Broadcasting, Ahad Cheema – Minister Economic Affairs with Additional portfolio of “Establishment” , Musaddik Malick – Minister Petroleum with Additional portfolio of “Power”, Mohsin Naqvi – Minister Interior with Additional portfolio of Narcotics Control, Muhammad Aurangzeb – Minister Finance with Additional portfolio of “Revenue” , Chaudhary Saalik Hussain – Minister Overseas Pakistani and Human Development, Abdul Aleem Khan, Jam Kamal, Ameer Muqam – Minister State and Frontier Province with Additional portfolio of “National Heritage and Culture”, Awais Leghari – Minister Railways, Qaisar Sheikh – Minister Maritime Affairs, Riaz Pirzada – Minister Housing and Work’s and Khalid Maqbool – Minister Science and Technology with Additional portfolio of “Federal Education and Professional Training” for federal ministers including Shiza Fatima.
