FTF PRESIDENT RUSTAM EMOMALI TOOK PART IN THE FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO WORLD FOOTBALL DAY

President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), head of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali today, May 25, as part of the celebration of World Football Day, took part in a football festival for children.

 

Opening the festival, Rustam Emomali congratulated all participants on World Football Day and wished the children to continue to play their favorite sport – football, as well as new victories, a beautiful game and success in their future careers.

 

The FTF President also thanked the United Nations for recognizing World Football Day and FIFA for its full support in promoting the football week around the world.

Former Chelsea and Nigeria national team midfielder John Obi Mikel was the festival’s guest of honor.

 

900 children took part in the football festival. The festival consisted of various master classes for children and fun relay races. The main goal of the festival is to promote a healthy lifestyle, instill team spirit in children, develop sports skills and abilities, and popularize grassroots football.

After the end of the festival, the children were awarded soccer balls.
