In a significant step towards enhancing commercial relations between Pakistan and Finland, key representatives from both countries met to discuss measures to boost bilateral trade. Minister Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Finland in Pakistan, Anssi Kulberg, and Chairman Standing Committee for Tourism and Hospitality Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Trade and Small Industries, Mohammad Rauf Raja, along with Committee Members Syed Sadat Hussain and Raja Muhammad Mudassar, reaffirmed their commitment to expanding trade ties during a productive meeting.
Anssi Kulberg expressed his appreciation for the goodwill and cooperation extended by Pakistani businessmen. He highlighted the positive nature of the proposals for business promotion and assured that Finland welcomes such practical recommendations. Kulberg emphasized that opportunities will be provided to entrepreneurs from both countries to promote mutual trade.
On this occasion, Mohammad Rauf Raja announced that the “Explore Finland” conference will be held in Islamabad this month. This event will invite businessmen from Pakistan and Finland to engage in B2B and B2C meetings, aiming to significantly increase the current trade volume between the two nations.
Sadat Hussain Shah underscored the vast possibilities for trade development between Pakistan and Finland in various sectors. He emphasized that the exchange of trade delegations at different levels, supported by both governments, will yield economic benefits and help achieve development goals. He also highlighted the potential for growth in the tourism sector as part of this collaborative effort.
The meeting marks a promising advancement in the commercial relationship between Pakistan and Finland, with both parties eager to explore and capitalize on mutual business opportunities.
