Event Marks the 92nd Birth Anniversary of Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a ceremony in the main hall to celebrate the 92nd birth anniversary of Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, a prominent leader in the Pakistan Movement. Speakers, including Zafar Bakhtawari, paid heartfelt tributes to Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, acknowledging his enduring struggle, family background, involvement in the Khilafat movement, and his significant role in Pakistan’s freedom movement. Bakhtawari highlighted Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar’s services as the first volunteer ambassador of Pakistan and Turkey, emphasizing the importance of preserving the legacies of such historical figures and acquainting the youth with their impactful contributions.

 

Other speakers at the event included Acting President of the Chamber Azharul Islam Zafar, Executive Director International Relations of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Asif Luqman Qazi, Chancellor Dr. Abdul Basit Preston University, Senior Vice President ICCI Fahad Waheed, and Mrs. Shamaila Siddiqui, the granddaughter of Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar. Mehmet Pacachi, the Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan, also paid tribute to the efforts of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in organizing the commemorative event.

 

Ahsan Bakhtawari, the President of the Chamber, who played a pivotal role in uniting everyone, was unable to attend due to performing Umrah.
