The announcement was made by his son, who shared the heartbreaking news with the diplomatic community in Islamabad, stating, “It is with great sorrow that I announce that my father, Borhene El Kamel, Tunisian Ambassador to Pakistan, has passed away this morning in his hometown of Nabeul, Tunisia.”
Ambassador El Kamel, who had been grappling with health challenges since his tenure in Pakistan began, made frequent trips to Tunisia for medical treatment.
