The candidate of Egypt for the office of Director-General UNESCO, Dr. Khaled El-Enany, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Monday.
The meeting underscored the enduring brotherly ties between Pakistan and Egypt, highlighting their shared commitment to furthering these relations. Both sides emphasized the significance of fostering cultural exchanges and strengthening cooperation on multilateral platforms, including UNESCO.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for international cultural cooperation and appreciated Egypt’s efforts in promoting global cultural heritage. Dr. Khaled El-Enany shared his vision for UNESCO’s future, stressing the role of international collaboration in preserving and celebrating diverse cultural legacies.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ihab Abdelhamid, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Pakistan, who reiterated Egypt’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with Pakistan.
