DPRK Embassy in Islamabad Marks 83rd Birth Anniversary of Kim Jong Il

The Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Pakistan commemorated the 83rd birth anniversary of H.E. Kim Jong Il with a special reception at a local hotel. The event was attended by dignitaries, including government officials, former ambassadors, politicians, worker leaders, and media representatives.

 

Ambassador Choe Chang Man and his spouse hosted the gathering, highlighting Kim Jong Il’s enduring leadership and his contributions to Juche-oriented socialism. He reaffirmed that Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, continues to uphold his ideology, leading the country towards progress and global cooperation.

 

The venue featured Korean cultural exhibits and portraits of Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un, with guests laying floral wreaths in tribute to the late leader.

 

 

Ambassador Choe emphasized that February 16 is a day of national pride, as Kim Jong Il’s vision shaped the foundations of a strong socialist state.

 

He further stated, “Under Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un’s leadership, DPRK remains steadfast in its commitment to independence, justice, and strengthening ties with friendly nations.”

 

He reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering global peace and enhancing cooperation with countries that uphold sovereignty and mutual respect.

 

Prominent guests included Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Secretary General of ANP, who conveyed a message from Asfandyar Wali Khan, and several political figures, diplomats, and members of civil society.

 

The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to deepening Pakistan-DPRK relations, emphasizing the historical ties between the two nations.
