ISLAMABAD: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Ammar Jafri, the founder of Digital Pakistan, and Abid Sadiq Chaudhry, the Secretary General of the World Journalists Federation (WJF). This partnership aims to enhance digital literacy in Pakistan, increase awareness about cybersecurity, and support technology-driven future initiatives.
During the signing ceremony, Abid Sadiq Chaudhry also presented the official profile of the World Journalists Federation (WJF) to Ammar Jafri. Both organizations acknowledge the vital role of media in educating the public about the responsible use of digital platforms.
Under this collaboration, media partners will receive expert-developed content, workshops, and crisis management support to ensure accurate reporting and extensive coverage of digital transformation initiatives in Pakistan. As part of the agreement, Digital Pakistan will conduct cybersecurity training sessions, while media organizations will broadcast educational content to help build a digitally empowered society.
The partnership also aims to address cyber scandals, combat misinformation, and promote creative content, including interviews, talk shows, and documentaries.
Emphasizing the significance of this alliance, Abid Sadiq Chaudhry stated, “The World Journalists Federation (WJF) is committed to using its platform to raise awareness about crucial issues like cybersecurity and to help Pakistani journalists create a safer digital landscape.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Young Journalists Association Secretary General Malik Zubair Awan, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Asif, and senior officials from Digital Pakistan.
