The British High Commissioner Ms. Jane Marriott paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, both parties underscored the significance of bolstering defense and security cooperation between Pakistan and Britain.
Minister Asif conveyed Pakistan’s deep-rooted commitment to nurturing its relations with Britain and acknowledged the pivotal role played by Britain in the Afghan reconciliation process. He further expressed Pakistan’s keen interest in perpetuating the Pak-UK Defence Cooperation Forum (DCF) at the ministerial level.
Both sides emphasized the imperative of expanding defense and security ties to address contemporary challenges effectively.
