Belarus Proposes Enhanced Cooperation in Health and Pharmaceuticals with Pakistan

In a significant move to bolster ties in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, the Belarusian organization Holding Belpharmprom has extended an invitation to Pakistani partners for potential collaboration. The proposal aims to explore joint investment opportunities and the localization of Pakistani medicines at Belarusian production facilities.

 

Holding Belpharmprom, a key player in the pharmaceutical industry of Belarus, manages eight subsidiary companies, including six pharmaceutical manufacturers, one scientific organization, and one producer of medical devices. The organization is responsible for more than 60% of Belarus’s pharmaceutical production and 80% of its medicine exports.

 

 

Belpharmprom’s current investment proposals, listed on the “Investor Road Map” portal, include:

 

1. Construction of a New Pharmaceutical Products Facility (OJSC Ekzon):

 

This project focuses on expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.

2. Creation of a Radiation Sterilization System Complex (UE FreBor):

 

This initiative aims to establish a center for sterilization of medical products using advanced radiation technology.

This project is geared towards enhancing the production of essential medical supplies.

Belpharmprom’s portfolio includes around 800 types of medicines, with products being exported to approximately 30 countries globally. Currently, 47 production sites within the Holding possess national Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificates, with several sites holding or preparing for GMP certification under European Union and Eurasian Economic Union standards.

 

 

Belpharmprom has expressed readiness to facilitate meetings and negotiations with interested Pakistani organizations, providing an opportunity for in-depth discussions and potential site visits.
