President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit. He was greeted with a warm reception by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival.
During this visit, President Aliyev is scheduled to engage in important discussions with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. These talks will cover a broad spectrum of topics aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
This visit is anticipated to culminate in the signing of various agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
At the Prime Minister House, President Aliyev was honored with a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Army. Prime Minister Sharif introduced him to his team and senior officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the Minister of Energy.
President Aliyev’s itinerary also includes a tree-planting ceremony at Shakarparian, symbolizing the deepening friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Additionally, he will tour the Pakistan Monument, a symbol of the nation’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
