The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine welcomed the Republic of Armenia’s announcement of recognition of the State of Palestine, based on its principled positions based on international law, and their belief in the principles of equality, sovereignty, and peaceful coexistence among peoples.

According to the Press note, The Foreign Ministry expressed the common conviction that the two-state solution based on ending the occupation and achieving the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people and justice is the only way to guarantee security and peace.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between the Armenian and Palestinian peoples, and stressed that this recognition, which expresses the authenticity of historical relations, comes in harmony with international law and all relevant United Nations resolutions, and Armenia’s positive vote on the Palestinian resolutions, which is a real investment in peace, and a step A process to support the internationally recognized two-state solution, and for efforts aimed at establishing stability and peace in the Middle East region by ending the illegal Israeli occupation and achieving the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people.

In this regard, the Ministry confirms that it will continue working with all countries and international institutions in order to end the aggression against our people, and call on countries to take irreversible steps by recognizing the State of Palestine, granting it full membership in the United Nations and recognizing the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination. And the return and national independence of his state with Jerusalem as its capital, in redress for the historical injustice he was subjected to.
