ANF Crackdown on Narcotics Near Schools and Cities

Islamabad,  The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its operations across the country, targeting drug networks operating near educational institutions and urban areas. In a series of four operations, the ANF arrested three individuals and seized a total of 27.430 kilograms of narcotics, with an estimated market value exceeding PKR 11.9 million.

Raid Near Educational Institutions in Quetta

In a targeted operation near Samungli Road in Quetta, ANF apprehended two suspects. The raid led to the recovery of:

  • 500 grams of hashish

  • 276 grams of ecstasy (MDMA) tablets

  • 200 grams of weed

Initial investigations reveal the suspects were allegedly involved in supplying drugs to students of nearby educational institutions. The matter is under further investigation.

Additional Operations and Recoveries

  1. In Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi, a raid at a courier office uncovered 34 grams of weed concealed in a parcel sent from the UK to Sialkot.

  2. Near Ravi Toll Plaza, Lahore, a suspicious individual was apprehended, and 4 kilograms of heroin were recovered.

  3. In Dalbandin, District Chaghi, 22.420 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) hidden for smuggling were successfully seized.

All accused have been booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and legal proceedings are underway.

ANF Spokesperson’s Statement

An ANF spokesperson reiterated the agency’s commitment to keeping educational institutions and urban communities drug-free. The Force has urged parents, educators, and civil society to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity through the ANF helpline to protect the youth from falling victim to narcotics.
