ISLAMABAD:Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, has strongly condemned recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them blatant violations of international law and a calculated attempt to destabilize the entire Muslim world.

Addressing an emergency press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad, Ambassador Moghaddam warned that the ongoing aggression is not just against Iran but part of a broader campaign against the Islamic world.

“The Zionist regime, acting as an extension of the US military in the region, has launched unjustified attacks on a sovereign state. Despite not being a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), it has targeted Iran — a member state with a peaceful nuclear program, which the IAEA has confirmed as peaceful in 15 separate reports.”

“A War Against the Entire Muslim World”
The ambassador stressed that Iran’s firm stance on the Palestinian cause and its vocal opposition to Israeli crimes in Gaza are the real reasons behind the attacks.

“This is not a war against Iran alone — it is a war against the dignity and unity of the entire Muslim world,” he said.
“Israel’s attack is a diversion to shift global focus away from its ongoing genocide in Gaza, where over 60,000 children have been killed and entire communities have been displaced.”

Trump’s Nobel Nomination ‘Shocking’
Ambassador Moghaddam expressed disbelief over reports suggesting former US President Donald Trump may be considered for a Nobel Peace Prize.

“How can a man who undermined the two-state solution and blatantly supported Israeli occupation be rewarded with a peace prize? Trump disregarded even his own Congress’s advice and aligned himself with a government committing war crimes.”

Iran’s Missile Response and Readiness for Prolonged Conflict
Ambassador Moghaddam confirmed that Iran responded to the attacks using its own missile systems, asserting that Israel could not withstand the retaliation for more than ten days.

“Iran’s scientists and commanders were martyred, and we responded accordingly. Our nuclear program is peaceful — aimed at energy generation — and it will continue. The aggression by the US and Israel aims to escalate the conflict across the region.”

Support from Pakistan and the Muslim World Appreciated
The ambassador thanked the Government of Pakistan and its political leadership for their immediate and firm condemnation of Israeli aggression and reaffirmed support for Iran at the United Nations Security Council.

“We are grateful for the strong and clear stance taken by Pakistan. The solidarity of the Muslim Ummah gives us strength and assurance.”

Response Strategy Under UN Charter
Reza Amiri Moghaddam stated that Iran will respond in line with the UN Charter and hinted that American interests globally could be targeted.

“We have not requested weapons from any country yet, but we are fully prepared for a prolonged conflict. Our nuclear commission is actively assessing the damage and planning for public safety.”

Espionage and Drone Recoveries Inside Iran
In response to a question, the ambassador revealed that Iranian authorities have uncovered espionage networks and seized drones and weapons from infiltrators — some of whom are Iranian nationals.

He concluded by noting that allies within BRICS have also condemned Israel’s attacks and expressed hope that such support will continue in the international arena.
