Ambassadors of Iran and Pakistan Discuss Expanding Bilateral Trade to $10 Billion at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam along with his esteemed colleague, Ambassador Mudasir Tipu, held a fruitful meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). This strategic discussion focused on exploring avenues for expanding bilateral economic relations and increasing the joint trade volume to $10 billion, a target set during President Raisi’s recent visit to Pakistan.

 

During the meeting, both ambassadors emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties and exploring mutual opportunities that would benefit both nations. The discussions included identifying key sectors for collaboration, addressing potential challenges, and developing strategies to achieve the ambitious trade target.

 

Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed his optimism about the future of Iran-Pakistan economic relations, stating, “The potential for economic cooperation between our two countries is immense. By working together and leveraging our unique strengths, we can achieve the goal of increasing our bilateral trade volume to $10 billion.”

 

Ambassador Mudasir Tipu echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in fostering regional stability and prosperity. “Enhanced economic cooperation between Iran and Pakistan will not only boost our economies but also contribute to the overall development and stability of the region,” he said.
