Ambassador Kistafin and Prime Minister Sharif Aim for Greater Trade and Investment Cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of bolstering trade and investment relations with Kazakhstan while prioritizing regional connectivity and security. This emphasis came during a courtesy call by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad today.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his greetings to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and expressed his commitment to further strengthening the excellent bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. The Prime Minister highlighted the mutual benefits of enhanced cooperation and conveyed his anticipation for an upcoming meeting with President Tokayev during his visit to Astana for the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting.

 

Ambassador Kistafin relayed President Tokayev’s greetings to Prime Minister Sharif and briefed him on various activities and initiatives currently underway to expand the relations between the two countries. The Ambassador emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to deepening cooperation in trade, investment, and regional connectivity.

 

The meeting concluded with both leaders expressing optimism for the future of Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations and a shared commitment to fostering closer ties for mutual benefit.
