A delegation from Alibaba.com on Friday met with the Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, to discuss the ways to enhance e-commerce in Pakistan.
Minister Jam assured the delegation of his complete support in advancing e-commerce programs in the country, stressing the need to bridge the gap between traditional commerce and the digital marketplace. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Commerce and the government’s leadership to boost trade volumes.
The Kamal said that there should be close cooperation between TDAP and Alibaba.com, stressing the importance of turning these partnerships into tangible actions.
The e-commerce group expressed its intention to expand operations in Pakistan, with plans to initiate activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
