Director General of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Shafqat Anwar Shahwani, along with a delegation, visited the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). The delegation included Faisal Khan, Controller of Buildings; Tariq Ahmed Rind; as well as the President of the Asian Business Forum (ABF), Khurram Shehzad, and Managing Director White Pearl City Gwadar, Ali Raza Chaudhry.
During the visit, the delegation met with Director ISSI, Dr. Talat Shabbir, to discuss key ongoing projects in Gwadar. DG GDA Shafqat Anwar Shahwani provided a briefing on the current development initiatives, highlighting the progress in infrastructure and economic activities in the region.
Dr. Talat Shabbir emphasized the importance of sectors such as fisheries and tourism for Gwadar’s future development. The discussions also focused on ensuring better facilities for the people of Gwadar, aiming to address their challenges and enable them to play an active role in the city’s progress.
Furthermore, the delegation stressed the need to engage the business community in recognizing Gwadar’s significance as a growing economic hub. They highlighted the potential for investment in tourism and the fisheries industry, which could drive economic growth and create new opportunities in the region.
