On August 14, 2024, as Pakistan celebrated its Independence Day, the Allied Bank Regional Management Team in Islamabad marked the occasion with a meaningful and impactful activity. The event, aptly themed “Clean and Green Islamabad,” took place at the F-9 Park, a prominent green space in the city, and aimed to blend national pride with environmental stewardship.
The drive was spearheaded by the Regional Heads of Allied Bank Islamabad, who were instrumental in organizing and executing this ambitious project. Notable figures such as Faisal Rashid Ghori, Group Head of BSG, and Sajjad Hussain, Group Head of CRBG, joined in to lend their support and leadership. Their presence underscored the commitment of Allied Bank’s management to social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Adding further prestige to the event, SHO Ms. Misbah from the Female Police Station Islamabad and former Secretary, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Mr. Naguib Ullah Malik, some valued customers, and CDA officials graced the occasion with their attendance. Their participation highlighted the collaborative effort between different sectors in promoting a cleaner and greener environment.
The event was a comprehensive effort involving all branches in the Islamabad region. It began with a vigorous plantation drive where participants planted a variety of trees, contributing to the green cover of the city. This was followed by a cleanliness drive, where attendees engaged in picking up litter and tidying the park. Such activities not only beautify the area but also play a crucial role in environmental conservation.
An integral part of the day’s program was an awareness session. This session educated participants on the significance of plantation and cleanliness, emphasizing how these actions contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment. The session aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards maintaining public spaces and encouraged ongoing community involvement in environmental protection.
The successful completion of the “Clean and Green Islamabad” drive is a testament to Allied Bank’s dedication to fostering environmental sustainability and civic responsibility. By aligning such initiatives with national celebrations, the bank not only commemorates Pakistan’s Independence Day but also contributes to the long-term prosperity and well-being of the country.
