The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates State of Palestine unequivocally condemns and rejects the recent decision by Israel, the occupying power, to restrict the work of Norwegian diplomats in the occupied State of Palestine, including Jerusalem. This decision represents a serious and alarming precedent, posing a direct threat to all countries by attempting to influence their principled positions on the occupation’s ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.
The Ministry praises the strong bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Norway and underscores the critical importance of Norway’s diplomatic representation in the State of Palestine.
We express our firm rejection of Israel’s attempts to fabricate false pretexts to exert pressure on countries and international institutions that stand in solidarity with our people.
Such actions are clearly intended to undermine those who contribute to diplomatic and legal efforts to hold the occupying power accountable for its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
