Javed Iqbal, a former bank employee, has reported receiving threatening calls and messages via WhatsApp from unknown numbers. Local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the threats.
The threats have also extended to Javed Iqbal’s family. His wife, who works at a government school, and their children have received threatening letters.
Javed Iqbal stated that the individuals behind these threats identified themselves as members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). They have issued various threats, demanding extortion money.
This is not the first instance of violence against Javed Iqbal’s family. His nephew was previously killed, heightening the urgency and gravity of the current threats. The police are treating the situation with utmost seriousness and are working diligently to identify and apprehend those responsible.
