A ceremony took place at General Headquarters Rawalpindi where General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), honored Army personnel for their bravery and service to the nation.
The event saw many senior Army officers and families of the awardees in attendance. Medals, including Sitara-I-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-I-Basalat, were awarded to officers and soldiers for their acts of bravery. Families of the martyrs received medals on behalf of their loved ones.
COAS paid tribute to the martyrs and soldiers injured in the line of duty, emphasizing their immense sacrifice for the defense of the country. He praised the courage of the families of martyrs and highlighted their importance in the nation’s security.
Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff reiterated that the nation owes its freedom and security to the sacrifices of its brave soldiers, considering them as symbols of hope and resilience for the entire nation.
