The Young Public Diplomacy Summit Baku 2024, a gathering of international youth leaders hosted by CSCD, recently concluded with a series of enlightening sessions and impactful presentations.
The summit reached a pinnacle with a keynote speech by Bilal Hayee, Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, shedding light on the nuances of Public Diplomacy in today’s world. A subsequent panel discussion, enriched by diverse perspectives, further deepened the discourse on this crucial subject.
This remarkable event took place at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (ALU) which was graced by a diverse audience, including a significant number of students. Vusal Garbanov, Acting Director General of ICYF-ERC, extended a warm welcome, highlighting the organization’s youth-centric initiatives. Chingiz Gasimzada’s presentation, representing ICYF-ERC, seamlessly aligned with the summit’s overarching theme.
Earlier, the Chairman of CSCD, Hassan Mehar welcomed the scientists, experts, local students, and event partners, emphasizing the event’s role in fostering cultural understanding among nations, while the Executive Director of the CSCD, Malik Tehseen, along with the Head of Operations, RehanJaved, and Head of Programs, Anum Javed, expressed their belief in the usefulness of the discussions and presentations that will be held within the framework of the summit.
Renowned speakers, including Hukuma Abbasova, Gulnara Aslanbayli, and Orkhan Masimov, delivered engaging lectures on Post-War Azerbaijani Society, Youth Leadership and Advocacy, and Innovation in Social Entrepreneurship, respectively.
The summit culminated in a celebratory note with a mesmerizing music performance by the Seyyah band. Participants actively shared their perspectives, adding depth to the overarching dialogue.
Notably, the event saw the participation of over 15 foreign young leaders from 10 different countries including Pakistan, showcasing the summit’s international appeal.
