Embassy of the Russian Federation Commemorates Defender of the Fatherland Day in Islamabad

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Islamabad hosted a distinguished celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, paying tribute to the Russian armed forces in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Air Vice Marshal Abid Latif of the Pakistan Air Force graced the event as the Chief Guest.

 

The ceremony commenced with the national anthems of both Russia and Pakistan, symbolizing the strong bonds between the two nations.

 

Ambassador Albert P Khorev, Defence Attache Colonel Vadim N. Fenchenko alongwith chief guest Air Vice Marshal Abid Latif and other dignitaries, ceremoniously cut a cake adorned with images of the Russian and Pakistani flags.

 

Colonel Vadim N. Fenchenko, the Russian Defence Attache, welcomed the diverse gathering, expressing gratitude and acknowledging the sacrifices of Russian Forces for Russia’s safety and stability. He emphasized the crucial role played by Russian Defenders in safeguarding the nation.

 

The event attracted a significant number of guests, including Ambassadors, defence attaches, and media personnel, creating a dynamic atmosphere. The evening concluded with networking opportunities, fostering connections among attendees. The Russian Embassy hosted a delightful dinner featuring traditional Russian cuisine, providing a cultural touch to the celebration.

 

This event not only showcased the enduring friendship between Russia and Pakistan but also honored the dedication and sacrifices of Russian Defenders on Defender of the Fatherland Day.
