Read Pakistan successfully organized the highly anticipated National Readers’ Conference (NRC) 2025 at a local hotel on Friday, bringing together an enthusiastic gathering of readers, writers, educators, and intellectuals to promote the culture of reading in Pakistan.
According to the press note, the organization highlighted the conference as a vibrant platform for exploring the transformative role of literacy and education in shaping a progressive and informed society. People from diverse walks of life, including educationists, scholars, writers, and a large number of students from various institutions, graced the event.
The NRC 2025 featured an impressive lineup of esteemed speakers, including Gillez Hachez, First Secretary at the Embassy of Belgium; Farhan Aziz Khwaja, Director General of the Civil Services Academy Lahore; national award-winning authors Dr. Rakshanda Parveen and Dr. Sadiqullah Khan; Muneer Ahmad, CEO of DEVCOM; and Ambassador Salahuddin Chaudhry, Chairman of the CPCD – Center of Public and Culture Diplomacy.
The event also hosted a distinguished panel of experts, including Sadaf Raza (Reiki Master), Faisal Malik (EdTech Specialist), Sanobar Nazir (Writer and Activist), and Maya Sofia Hamidi (Principal, RUNG School of Music and Arts). They shared insights on the impact of literature, education, and books in fostering critical thinking and nurturing creativity.
Participants engaged in lively panel discussions, attended book launches, and enjoyed interactive sessions, which offered unique opportunities for connecting with like-minded individuals and exchanging ideas.
To inspire young talent, Read Pakistan organized a series of competitions, including essay writing, poetry recitation, and storytelling contests. Winners were celebrated with shields, souvenirs, and cash prizes generously supported by the Embassies of Portugal and Belgium.
