Chinese gymnast Zhou Yaqin, who earned a silver medal in balance beam gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is now working as a waiter at her family’s restaurant in Heyangyang, Hunan Province.
A video of Zhou, captured while she assists her parents at the local eatery, has gone viral on social media, sparking admiration and increased patronage at the restaurant. Zhou’s decision to support her family in this way has been warmly received online.
At the 2024 World Games, Zhou Yaqin achieved her silver medal with a score of 14.100, narrowly missing the gold, which went to Di Amato with a score of 14.366. Zhou’s impressive career also includes gold medals from the 2020 Chinese Championships, the National Games of China, and the World Championships.
