Beijing Hosts 20th CPC Central Committee’s Third Plenary Session

Beijing witnessed the opening of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday.

 

President Xi Jinping, serving as the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a work report from the Political Bureau, according to Chinese media sources. He also discussed a draft decision by the CPC Central Committee focused on deepening reforms and promoting Chinese modernization.

 

The 20th Central Committee, stemming from the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, consists of 205 full members and 171 alternate members.

 

The CPC, established in 1921, has led China’s transformation into a global economic power through its policies and governance.
