Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman, Vice Chancellor of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), inaugurated the university’s new Admission Office & Student Facilitation Center, here on Tuesday. This centralized facility is designed to provide seamless access to academic and administrative services, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and convenience for students, faculty, and staff.
Vice Chancellor said that IT Services plays a backbone role in transforming the Student Facilitation Center from a traditional helpdesk into a modern, digital, and responsive student service hub. It ensures scalability, transparency, and speed all critical for enhancing student satisfaction.
The center integrates multiple essential services, including admissions, financial aid, exam coordination, document issuance (degrees, transcripts, NOCs), and academic counseling. This integration eliminates the need for students not only to visit multiple offices but also students can now track requests, submit applications online, and receive timely updates on their queries. This facility also offers specialized support for international students and students with disabilities, alongside scholarship coordination in collaboration.
During the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman emphasized the center’s vital role in fostering a student-friendly environment. “This initiative reflects our commitment to reducing administrative hurdles and empowering students to focus on their academic and professional growth,” he stated. He added that by streamlining processes such as enrollment, fee payments, and grievance resolution, the center aims to enhance overall satisfaction and operational efficiency. He further highlighted that the center will serve as a key communication hub, ensuring students stay informed about important deadlines, events, and university announcements.
The launch of the Student Facilitation Center marks a major milestone in PMAS-AAUR’s ongoing efforts to modernize its support systems and provide a more accessible, responsive, and student-centered campus experience.
